On Connes’ trace formula for a function field

چکیده
We give a proof of Connes’ trace formula for a function field for a function of support in the norm-one ideles. The proof only uses elementary properties of the adeles.

Trace Formula in Noncommutative Geometry andthe Zeros of the Riemann
We give a spectral interpretation of the critical zeros of the Rie-mann zeta function as an absorption spectrum, while eventual noncritical zeros appear as resonances. We give a geometric interpretation of the explicit formulas of number theory as a trace formula on the noncommutative space of Adele classes. This reduces the Riemann hypothesis to the validity of the trace formula and eliminates...
متن کاملA semi-local trace identity and the Riemann hypothesis for function fields
The asymptotic trace formula of Connes is restated in a semi-local form, thus showing that the difficulties in proving it directly do not lie in the change of topology when transgressing from finitely many to infinitely many places.
متن کاملConnes’ Trace Formula and Dirac Realization of Maxwell and Yang-mills Action
The paper covers known facts about the Dixmier trace (with some generalities about traces), the Wodzicki residue, and Connes’ trace theorem, including two variants of proof of the latter. Action formulas are treated very sketchy, because they were considered in other lectures of the workshop.
متن کاملFrom monoids to hyperstructures: in search of an absolute arithmetic
We show that the trace formula interpretation of the explicit formulas expresses the counting function N(q) of the hypothetical curve C associated to the Riemann zeta function, as an intersection number involving the scaling action on the adèle class space. Then, we discuss the algebraic structure of the adèle class space both as a monoid and as a hyperring. We construct an extension Rconvex of...
